Tasting Notes ...
RED WINE - SAINT CHINIAN - SOUTH FRANCE
...................Grande Cuvée Bardou...................
Grape : Syrah 100%
This wine is made from old vines from a single parcel on the estate named Bardou. Stony soils ensure very low yields of concentrated fruit, while the cool microclimate brings freshness, finesse and balance.
The dark ruby colour of this wine is an indicator of its intense and generous bouquet which reveals complex fruit and spice flavours. The wine is floral with hints of vanilla and a toasted edge. The contribution of the French oak does not hide the Syrah’s aromas. The subtle, rounded tannins are in perfect harmony with the wood. A generous and intense wine, with a long finish.
This wine, full of personality and beautifully-structured, can be aged successfully for up to 10 years. If possible, decant 1 to 2 hours before drinking.
Best served between 16°-18°C. This wine is ideal with grilled and roasted meat as well as cheese.
